Lone Star College System
Student Health Insurance Plan
AES Enrollment (Evacuation/Repatriation Coverage)- Only students submitting a waiver should purchase, if needed.
Lone Star College System (LSCS) requires that all F-1 visa international students, with a LSCS issued I-20, maintain health insurance coverage as a condition of enrollment. The premium for the LSCS Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) is automatically charged to an international student’s tuition and fee statement. LSCS has established two circumstances in which an international F1 visa student may request a waiver to the student health insurance plan (SHIP) by providing alternative health insurance coverage. In order to be approved for a waiver, your alternative health insurance coverage must meet the requirements as set forth by LSCS.
Please review these prior to submitting your waiver request

If the health plan does not include medical evacuation and repatriation, a rider must be purchased providing coverage at equal limits to the SHIP; or
- Student is enrolled in an employer-provided group health plan that is compliant with the ACA. If the health plan does not include medical evacuation and repatriation, a rider must be purchased providing coverage at equal limits to the SHIP.
